
Research Associate
Dr. Silva Garcia is a Research Associate at Washington State University’s PRISM Collaborative, where she contributes to the FAMES and R01 studies under the guidance of Dr. Oluwoye. She holds both a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Prevention Science from Washington State University.
Dr. Silva Garcia is dedicated to amplifying the voices of individuals who have faced mental health challenges and is committed to helping improve systems and find supportive solutions and resources. She believes in learning from people’s experiences as they navigate mental health services to enhance the overall quality of care and improve their experiences. Collaboration with individuals, families, and community partners is important to her as they work together to dismantle barriers and foster lasting change. By doing so, we can help those we care about thrive.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Silva Garcia enjoys traveling, running, practicing yoga, hiking, and reading personal development books.
